Wheelchair Platform Stairlift
What is a wheelchair platform lift? They come in more than a few forms, but basically it is a platform that can carry a person in a wheelchair from one floor to another. CS Access offers a few lift models that can accommodate a wheelchair and its occupant, and travel between two or more levels.
Some of these lifts are vertical platform lifts (also known as home lifts or elevators), while the others are inclined platform lifts. Which one you should use depends on the type of obstacles you face and the number of passengers you might want to accommodate other than those in the wheelchair.
Inclined Platform Lifts
If you have stairs inside or outside your home that are a barrier to your mobility because you use a wheelchair, one of the simplest solutions is an inclined platform lift. CS Access offers two such models for people who need to improve their mobility at home: the Logic and the Slim.
The Logic works great inside your home on straight or curved stairs. In addition, the Logic is also very well suited for outdoor installation. With a special powder coating on its metal parts that is much tougher than normal paint, the Logic can resist the rain and moisture for duty outside the building. The wiring, electronics, motor and controls of the Logic are also sealed to endure the moisture and dust in the outdoors.

Slim Inclined Platform Lift
If your stairs are particularly narrow and curved, the Slim is an alternative choice that can meet your needs. The Slim, like the Logic, can carry a single passenger in a wheelchair between floors over straight or curved staircases. However, as the Slim uses a special set of very narrow rails that sit next to the wall on the staircase, it works great for narrow staircases. Also, the main drive unit for the lift is moved off the lift onto the rails. This makes the Slim more narrow and compact than the Logic, so the Slim will work in places that the Logic will not work.
Both incline platform lifts are high-quality products with a reliable and safe design. Also, when you are not using them, both can be folded up into a very compact form against the stair rail, to maintain free space on the staircase when they are not in use.
When you want to use either lift, you press the call button on one of the summoning stations; the lift will then come to your location. After that, you press a button to unfold it and just wheel your wheelchair up onto the platform. Lowering the safety rails and starting your trip up or down the stairs is also an easy push-button process. You can do it on your own, with no assistance from others while you ride the inclined platform lift comfortably in your wheelchair.
Vertical Home Lifts
The smallest, least expensive and easiest to install home lift that will accept a wheelchair is the Trio. The Trio has a slim and elegant design that enables its installation in almost any space in your home. It is very compact, and supports its own weight on its twin rail support system, which means your home’s structure isn’t stressed when you install the Trio. That also makes the Trio cheap and fast to install, and It will lift three average-sized standing adults, a passenger in a wheelchair or a person using a walking frame.

Midilift Home Lift
If you need something with a greater capacity than the Trio, the Midilift will be the natural choice. The Midilift can accommodate up to 4 standing adults, or a wheelchair as well as 1 or 2 other passengers. It can also accommodate multiple passengers who are using a variety of mobility aides at the same time.
The Midilift also has an outdoor variant that can be installed along the outer wall of a building to conserve space inside your home, yet be still accessible from within the building. It also is a great add-on for any public or commercial building when you need to allow access for disabled people.
The Midilift is a great product because it lets you get a maximum capacity lift while occupying less space inside than even the smallest stairlifts, and does not take up any space on your staircases.
Vertical platform lifts are also great because they can do more than transporting wheelchair-bound persons; they can also be used as a way to transport heavy loads between floors.
